Romanian Government approves 2.1 million lei in emergency aid

The Romanian Government has approved over 2.1 million lei in emergency financial aid to support families and individuals facing extreme necessity or social exclusion risks. The funding, provided by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, targets those affected by fires, landslides, dangerous weather phenomena, accidents, or severe health issues.

A significant portion of the funds, approximately 1.38 million lei, is allocated to 353 beneficiaries dealing with serious medical conditions. These include oncological, cardiovascular, degenerative, respiratory, and genetic diseases, as well as mental health issues and organ transplant recovery.

Additional funds are designated for victims of specific disasters: 732,000 lei for 116 families affected by fires, 56,000 lei for 8 families affected by landslides, and smaller amounts for victims of storms and road accidents. Beneficiaries are located across numerous counties, including Bucharest, Gorj, Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Cluj, Constanța, and others.
