Romanian handball clubs face mixed starts in EHF European League
Romanian handball clubs faced mixed results in their EHF European League debuts. Handbal Club Buzău secured a 30-30 draw against Portuguese side Aguas Santas in a closely contested match. After trailing by several goals in the first half, Buzău rallied in the second half to take a lead, only for the Portuguese team to regain control late in the game. Buzău is scheduled to play Granollers and Flensburg in upcoming away matches.
In contrast, CSM București suffered a defeat in their opening match against Kadetten Schaffhausen in Switzerland. Despite reaching a 16-16 tie at halftime, the Romanian team ultimately lost with a final score of 39-32. CSM București competes in Group C of the tournament alongside Chambery Savoie, Kadetten Schaffhausen, and Izvidac.
