Romanian Handball Super Cup to Feature Danish Stars in Bistrița

The Romanian Handball Super Cup will be contested from 21 to 23 August at the TeraPlast Arena in Bistrița. Eight clubs will compete for the season's first trophies in both the men's and women's brackets. On the women's side, CSM București, the defending champion, will field Danish internationals Anne Mette Hansen and Emma Friis as they aim for a fifth consecutive title. Their semifinal opponent is Gloria Bistrița. The men's competition includes Dinamo București, Politehnica Timișoara, CSM București and HC Buzău, with Dinamo entering as the 2025 champion. Detailed match times are scheduled for each day, culminating in finals on 23 August.

The tournament highlights the growing presence of Danish talent in Romanian handball and serves as the kickoff for the 2025‑26 Romanian handball season.
