Romanian innovators receive recognition for medical and cultural projects
Romanian innovators have received recognition for distinct projects in the fields of medical technology and cultural reflection.
Bioengineer Cristian Fodor, previously recognized with the Euroinvent Grand Prix for a resuscitation training invention, has been selected by the European Patent Office (EPO) to join a European network promoting creativity and intellectual property among youth. Fodor, an assistant professor and researcher, has continued his academic work following his studies at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University in Iași.
Additionally, allergist Simona Coleașă received a gold medal and diploma at the ‘Traian Vuia’ International Salon of Inventions and Innovations in Timișoara for her project ‘Brâncuși Hour – 16:00’. The initiative, inspired by sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, encourages people to pause their activities for 60 minutes every February 19th to engage in reflection and quiet contemplation.
