Romanian Interior Ministry launches child‑suicide prevention campaign amid exams
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) has launched a nationwide information and prevention campaign titled “No exam is worth a lost child” during the period of the National Evaluation and the Baccalaureate. The initiative targets parents, adults and the broader community, urging emotional support for students and warning that the pressure of exams can lead to impulsive decisions. A brochure on the MAI website offers recommendations for recognizing risk signs, preventing dangerous situations and responding if a minor leaves home voluntarily.
In Dâmbovița County, local gendarmes, police officers and firefighters will be present in schools across the county, including Târgoviște, to inform students and parents, promote dialogue and reinforce the campaign’s message of solidarity, empathy and responsibility.
