Romanian Liga 3 clubs CSM Lugoj and ACS USV Iași gear up for upcoming fixtures

CSM Lugoj completed its first week of pre‑season preparation with three friendly matches. The team beat Millenium Giarmata 2‑1 on 25 July, with goals from Dobra and Pureca, then defeated CSC Ghiroda II 3‑1 on 28 July (scorers Dobra, Enciu and Avădanei). A 1‑1 draw against CSM Deva on 1 August saw Avădanei score for Lugoj. Coach Cosmin Petruescu rotated the squad between the two halves of the Deva game. The club’s next fixtures are scheduled for 4 August against Minerul Sasca Montană and 8 August versus Politehnica Timișoara II.

ACS USV Iași, also a Liga 3 side, left its training camp at Vatra Dornei to contest the second round of the Romanian Cup. After a 1‑0 victory over Știința Miroslava in the first round on 31 July, the team will travel to Bradul Putna for the August 5 match. Coach Cristian Ungureanu highlighted the compressed preparation schedule, noting intensive training sessions since the camp began on 31 July. The coaching staff, including Irinel Ionescu and new additions such as Marius Onofraș, is finalising the squad ahead of the cup tie.
