Romanian Liga II clubs CSM Slatina and CSM Reșița win summer friendlies

CSM Slatina opened its pre‑season preparation with a 4‑1 victory over newly promoted SC Popești‑Leordeni at home. Goals came early from Pacionel, followed by Magyari, Patrick Mutu, Alexandru Stan and a free‑kick by Răzvan Matiș. The win was part of the club’s build‑up before a training camp in Bansko, Bulgaria, and the team will play two more friendlies before the Liga II season begins on 1 August.

Meanwhile, CSM Reșița secured a 2‑0 triumph over Cetatea 1932 Suceava in its first summer friendly under new coach Dorinel Munteanu. Edmond Lenghel scored in the 21st minute and Alexandru Negru added a second in the 76th. The match gave Munteanu his first look at the new squad and was described by the coach as a useful test ahead of the upcoming season.
