Romanian literature explores regional history and village life

The literary works of Ioan Mititean and Fănuș Neagu offer deep insights into Romanian cultural and regional life. Mititean’s series, ‘În vârful peniței’, includes the 650-page monograph ‘Amintiri de peste râu’, which documents the history and people of Lușca village.

Mititean highlights three notable figures from Lușca: Protopop Ovidiu Sermeșan, who serves the Church in Țara Năsăud; Professor Aurelia Dan, a coordinator of county-level education; and Mititean himself, who has led the Năsăud branch of the Romanian Writers' League for 15 years.

Additionally, the collection of stories by Fănuș Neagu, ‘Dincolo de nisipuri’, provides a detailed look at rural life through various narratives. The text explores themes of tradition, folklore, and local character through specific anecdotes and regional imagery.
