Romanian medical facilities advance through surgical training and digitalization
Medical institutions in Romania are advancing through specialized training and digital integration. In Hunedoara, the Dr. Alexandru Simionescu Municipal Hospital hosted the second edition of the ‘Împreună suntem ARCE’ workshop. This event focused on modern surgery, specifically hernia and colorectal procedures, allowing young doctors and residents to observe live laparoscopic interventions and consult with experienced specialists.
In Brașov, the County Council is overseeing the implementation of an integrated e-Health digital platform for county hospitals. The project aims to transition clinical and non-clinical activities to a new interoperable system by the end of December. Supported by approximately 4 million euros in European funds, the initiative focuses on data migration, staff training, and improving connectivity between medical units to enhance patient-oriented care.
