Romanian melons see high demand in United Kingdom market
Entrepreneur Daniel Rusu has achieved significant commercial success in the United Kingdom by importing Romanian melons. His business, Traditional Butchery, located in the Harrow area of northwest London, imported 30 tonnes of the fruit, with 25 tonnes already sold.
Rusu noted that the high demand comes from a diverse customer base, including British, Indian, and Arab communities, who are drawn to the quality and sweetness of the produce. He attributed the success to the organic nature of the Romanian melons, contrasting them with the greenhouse-grown varieties found in major British supermarket chains.
