Romanian municipalities complete school renovation projects

Local administrations in Romania have completed significant renovation projects for educational facilities. In the Filipeștii de Pădure commune, the Ioan Moga Gymnasium underwent modernization across two buildings. The works included the renovation of hallways, the modernization of three classrooms, and the complete reconstruction of sanitary facilities. Improvements also addressed electrical and thermal installations, including the replacement of radiators and lighting.

In Berislăvești, the local town hall completed a year-long energy rehabilitation project aimed at transforming the local gymnasium into a green school. The upgrades included thermal insulation for walls and floors, the installation of high-performance windows, and the implementation of LED lighting. To enhance sustainability, the facility now utilizes heat pumps, solar thermal panels for hot water, and a photovoltaic system. These measures have reportedly reduced the building's primary energy consumption by over 60%, moving it toward a nearly zero-energy building (nZEB) status.
