Romanian municipalities manage urban projects and procurement contracts

In Săcele, the local administration has contracted Mabi Easy Planning for 35,000 lei (excluding VAT) to update the municipal traffic study. This update is a prerequisite for accessing European funds for urban regeneration and sustainable mobility projects under the ‘Centrum Region’ 2021–2027 Program.

Existing municipal projects include a 23.5 million lei initiative to purchase five 18-meter electric articulated buses and a 16.7 million lei urban regeneration project for the Ștefan cel Mare neighborhood.

In Slatina, the City Hall has awarded two direct service contracts totaling 688,499.67 lei (excluding VAT), both of which exceed the legal threshold of 270,120 lei for direct procurement. The contracts, intended for event organization, were awarded to Novea Events SRL for the ‘Slatina, City of Children’ event and to Agenția de Turism și Tranzacții – A. T. T. SRL for a Disney Cup winner trip to Disneyland Paris. The combined value of these acquisitions exceeds the legal limit by more than 148,000 lei.
