Romanian NGOs funded for disability camp and green projects
The RETIM foundation provided financial support for a summer camp organized by the Casa Esterei Foundation at the Podul Lung Recovery Center. The camp offered several days of outdoor activities, play and respite for children with disabilities and their mothers, aiming to improve quality of life for families facing daily challenges. "Ne bucurăm că putem fi parte din această misiune," a RETIM spokesperson said.
Coca‑Cola HBC Romania’s Board of Sustainability invested €20,000 in four micro‑grant projects under the "Sustenabil în Cartier" programme in Ploiești. The grants benefitted more than 1,500 direct participants, including around 1,000 students, teachers, parents and volunteers. Initiatives transformed unused land into urban gardens, planted over 250 trees and flowers, installed recycling stations and built birdhouses. Florentina Stan, coordinator of the "Cartierul Verde" project, noted, "Sustenabilitatea înseamnă să lași ceva care continuă, fie că e un obicei, un spațiu verde sau o legătură între oameni."
