Romanian organizations call for dialogue with President Nicușor Dan

Twenty representative organizations from the business, labor, academic, and civil society sectors have requested a direct dialogue with President Nicușor Dan. The group, which includes the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the National Syndical Block, and the Romanian Academy, is seeking a meeting between September 1 and 4, 2026, to discuss Romania’s primary economic and social challenges.

The organizations aim to address political instability and the need for a fully functional government to ensure economic predictability and fiscal stability. They have called upon the President to exercise his constitutional role as a mediator and guarantor of the Constitution to facilitate dialogue between political forces and state institutions to overcome decision-making deadlocks.
