Romanian Orthodox Church marks Duminica Sfinților Români in Bacău and Germany
On 14 June 2026 the parish of St. Three Hierarchs in Bacău, Romania, celebrated its summer feast (Hramul de vară). Archiepiscop Ioachim of Roman and Bacău led the divine liturgy, blessed the new cultural‑educational centre “St. Hierarch Gregory the Theologian”, and presided over a children’s religious theatre performance by pupils from Hârja.
The same day the Romanian Orthodox parish in Offenbach am Main, Germany, inaugurated one of its churches dedicated to “Duminica Sfinților Români”. Four hierarchs – Archiepiscop Andrei, Metropolitans Iosif, Serafim and Bishop Sofian – conducted the consecration ceremony, the liturgy and a preaching on missionary work. The event marked the 51st anniversary of the parish, which began in 1975 and now serves a large Romanian diaspora community in the region.
