Romanian Orthodox Youth League launches sixth 'Backpack for a Child' charity drive

The Liga Tinerilor Creștini Ortodocși Reghin, together with the Cercul Pastoral Misionar “Sfânta Ecaterina” and the Asociația Femeilor Creștin Ortodoxe Reghin, announced the sixth edition of the “Un ghiozdan pentru un copil plin de vise” campaign. Running from 1 – 30 August 2026, the initiative will collect and donate fully equipped school backpacks to children attending parish churches in the Reghin area. Donations can be made to the league’s bank account (RO60 BTRL RONCRT ODA068 3501) with the reference “pentru ghiozdan”, or by providing a ready‑made backpack. Organisers emphasized that a simple gesture can give a child confidence and hope for the new school year, and they provided contact numbers for further information.
