Club owner Dan Șucu addressed Genoa supporters before the Serie A season, saying he is “absolutely convinced” of the team’s prospects. He confirmed his €40 million investment that gave him a 77 % stake in the club and noted the appointment of former AS Roma captain Daniele De Rossi after dismissing Patrick Vieira. Genoa, which avoided relegation last year, will open the campaign against Napoli.

Șucu also detailed player movements involving his two clubs. Genoa has loaned Alin Kumer Celik, Chec Bebel Doumbia and Latif Ouedraogo to Romanian side Rapid, while Rapid’s former left‑back Andrei Borza was sold to Turkish side Corum FK for €2 million.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan, owned by former Romanian international Cristi Chivu, began a pre‑season tour in Germany and plans friendlies in Asia and Australia. The club announced a €100 million renovation of its Appiano Gentile training centre, adding a modern first‑team building, new recovery facilities and a dedicated U23 complex, with work expected to finish in the coming weeks.
