Romanian photography contests launch entries in Vaslui and Bucharest

The Vaslui City Hall, together with the Young Entrepreneurs Association, announced a photography competition focusing on the urban landscape of Vaslui. The contest, part of the municipality’s Cultural Days, offers a first‑place prize of 1,000 lei and accepts submissions made between August of the previous year and July 2026. Entries must be submitted by 30 July 2026, after which the selected works will be exhibited on the Summer Theatre esplanade.

The Student Culture House in Bucharest opened registrations for the 30th edition of the national Fotogeografica Salon, with a deadline of 10 August 2026. The contest features three sections—cultural heritage, natural landscape and wildlife—and is open to students, pupils and the general public. A jury of Romanian photographers will evaluate the works in mid‑August, with results announced on 15 October and an exhibition running until 15 November. Winners receive programs, thematic camps and workshop opportunities.
