Romanian players Drăgușin and Munteanu face recent setbacks

Romanian footballers Radu Drăgușin and Louis Munteanu are facing different challenges following recent international duty.

Radu Drăgușin, a central defender for Fiorentina, has faced scrutiny from Italian media following underwhelming performances with the Romanian national team. During the Nations League, Drăgușin played a full match against Sweden but was sent off after only 22 minutes in a subsequent match against Poland. Despite these setbacks at the international level, reports indicate he maintains a secure starting position at Fiorentina.

Meanwhile, DC United striker Louis Munteanu is sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained during training with the Romanian national team. Following a second MRI in the United States, it has been determined that Munteanu will be out of action for two to three weeks. His absence will cause him to miss upcoming MLS fixtures, including a match against Inter Miami, with a return to play expected in early November.
