Romanian police conduct safety education for children in Brăila and Harghita

On 7 June, police officers from the Brăila County Police took part in an educational event organized by Dr. Luca High School in Brăila's public garden. Officers from the traffic service, human resources, and crime analysis units interacted with pupils, parents and teachers, explaining traffic rules, police duties and ways to prevent victimisation. A three‑year‑old child recognized road signs, underscoring the impact of early safety education.

The following day, 8 June, marking International Good Friends Day, the Harghita County Police held an outdoor safety programme at Octavian Goga National College in Miercurea‑Ciuc. About 150 students and staff participated in games and practical exercises covering road‑traffic safety, personal security and online precautions. Officers emphasized the importance of using designated crossing points, wearing seat‑belts, avoiding contact with strangers and seeking adult help when needed. Both activities are part of the Romanian Police's national road‑safety education concept and broader child‑safety initiatives.
