Romania: Multiple road closures and traffic restrictions reported

Several regions in Romania are experiencing significant traffic disruptions due to weather, infrastructure works, and safety operations.

In the mountainous Transalpina region (DN 67C), authorities have temporarily closed the road between Rânca and Obârșia Lotrului due to heavy snow and unfavorable weather conditions. The reopening date remains uncertain.

In Dâmbovița, road safety operations are underway with police using helicopters to monitor drivers for dangerous behaviors. Additionally, several county roads (DJ 714, DJ 719, and DJ 702A) face restrictions or closures due to landslides and damaged bridge structures.

International travel is affected at the Giurgiu-Ruse Friendship Bridge, where construction work on the Bulgarian side has imposed traffic restrictions between 9:00 and 17:00 through October 29.

Administrative changes also include the suspension of driver's license and vehicle registration services in Bragadiru starting October 28, and the relocation of passport and registration services in Brașov to a new facility for at least one year during building renovations.
