Romanian police influencer Marian Godină rejects NGO complaints

Marian Godină, a police officer and social‑media personality in Romania, responded to a formal complaint filed by the NGO Patria Prima with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), the Inspectorate General for Police (IGPR) and the National Authority for Integrity (ANI). He asserted that he has not broken any law and argued that the complaints aim solely to have him dismissed from the police force.

In a lengthy post on Facebook, Godină said the accusations target his personal income and public visibility, and he claimed that removal would not harm his finances but would give him more free time. He also criticized the NGO’s motives, describing the filing as a “personal victory” for its members and dismissing the allegations as unfounded.
