Romanian police launch school safety and anti‑corruption programmes

In the last week of May 2026, police units in Romania’s Brăila and Arad counties organised preventive educational activities in schools and community settings.

In Brăila, the Analyses and Crime Prevention unit of the County Police Inspectorate visited several primary and secondary schools—including a gymnasium, a kindergarten and a technical high school—addressing cyberbullying, sexual aggression, drug and human‑trafficking, discrimination, digital safety and violence‑prevention.

In Arad, the County Anti‑Corruption Service, together with the County School Inspectorate and the local civil‑registry office, held eight workshops for middle‑school and high‑school students and teachers, followed by two sessions for public officials and citizens. A total of 146 students and staff, plus 13 officials and 37 citizens, took part. Participants were introduced to the duties of the General Directorate for Anti‑Corruption, the concept of integrity and the anti‑corruption hotline 0800‑806‑806.
