Romanian police launch summer safety campaigns in Mureș and Brașov

The Mureș County Police Inspectorate activated a series of preventive‑educational activities at two summer camps and several schools from 30 June to 3 July. Over 120 children participated in interactive presentations and games covering bullying prevention, online safety, risk‑behaviour awareness and basic self‑protection measures. Police spokesperson Inspector Principal Alexandra Luca emphasized that the initiative aims to foster a respectful and safe school environment.

In parallel, the Brașov Police Department rolled out the “O VARĂ ÎN SIGURANȚĂ” (A Safe Summer) campaign, issuing detailed advice to parents and citizens about seasonal risks. Recommendations include safeguarding children in camps or excursions, supervising water activities, securing property while away, and adapting driving to weather conditions. The campaign seeks to reduce victimisation and promote overall public safety during the summer holidays.
