Romanian police trainees start practical and anti‑corruption training in Olt and Mureș

On 6 July, a cohort of 34 police academy students from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Academy began a practical internship with the Olt County Police Inspectorate. The trainees will rotate through various operational units, working under experienced officers to apply their classroom knowledge to real‑world public safety tasks.

Separately, 61 newly appointed police officers in Mureș County completed an anti‑corruption programme organized by the County Anticorruption Service of the General Anticorruption Directorate. The course covered the directorate’s competencies, professional ethics, corruption offences, reporting procedures and the 0‑800‑806‑806 hotline, using video material and case studies to promote preventive attitudes.

Both initiatives aim to enhance professional competence, ethical standards and the overall effectiveness of Romania’s law‑enforcement institutions.
