Romanian Post signs logistics agreement with Temu
Romanian Post has signed a memorandum of understanding with the global e-commerce platform Temu to streamline logistics for Romanian sellers. The agreement establishes an integrated parcel delivery service that includes collection from sellers, sorting at domestic logistics centers, and last-mile delivery via home delivery, pick-up points, automated lockers, and post offices.
Romanian Post Director-General Valentin Stefan stated that the partnership aims to support local businesses in reaching customers across Romania and potentially expanding into other European markets. Temu, which entered the Romanian market in July 2023, seeks to reduce barriers for small businesses, such as complexity and high costs, by providing reliable logistics.
Local reports have noted the growing logistical ties between Romanian institutions and Chinese operators, highlighting that cargo imports at Oradea Airport have reached significant levels from China. This development occurs as the European Commission continues to monitor and regulate the influx of low-cost non-EU goods.
