Romanian preseason friendlies deliver goal fests in July

Two Romanian clubs opened their summer preparations with high‑scoring friendly matches. On 10 July, Cetatea 1932 Suceava hosted FC Botoșan​i at the Areni stadium, where the visitors edged a comeback to win 4‑3 after an early 0‑2 deficit. The match featured 800 spectators and a flurry of goals, including a late winner by Mailat in the 94th minute.

The following day, Steaua faced CS Afumați at Curtea de Argeș, producing a nine‑goal spectacle that ended 5‑4 in favor of the Ilfov side. Goals came from multiple players, with Steaua’s Sekou Camara scoring early and CS Afumați’s Ionuț Dinu and Pedro Caldieraro adding to the tally. Both fixtures highlighted an aggressive attacking approach as teams fine‑tuned for the upcoming season.
