Romanian Prime Minister Luca Niculescu meets US Ambassador

Romanian Prime Minister Luca Niculescu met with US Ambassador Darryl Nirenberg at Victoria Palace to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation. The meeting, which was the Prime Minister's first with a foreign ambassador following a recent vote of confidence, focused on intensifying Romanian-American relations across several strategic sectors.

Key areas of discussion included security, defense, and the importance of the US military presence in Romania. The leaders also addressed economic cooperation, specifically the need to attract more American investment to support Romania's economy, develop strategic sectors, and create new jobs. Other priority areas for joint development include energy, infrastructure, and education.

To ensure progress on these initiatives, Niculescu and Nirenberg agreed to hold periodic meetings to monitor common projects and identify new opportunities for cooperation.
