Romanian road accidents injure four in Iclod crash and involve intoxicated driver near Roman

A front‑collision on DN1C near Iclod on 28 June left four people injured. Police said a 24‑year‑old driver from Bistrița‑Năsăud entered the on‑coming lane while distracted, colliding with a vehicle driven by a 29‑year‑old from Cluj‑Napoca. Both drivers and two passengers required medical care; breath‑alcohol tests were negative.

Later in the week, two separate incidents occurred in the northeast. On 29 June, a 21‑year‑old woman from Roman lost control on DN15D, entered the opposite lane and struck a concrete barrier; a breath‑alcohol test showed a level of 0.42 mg/L. In another crash near Ruseni, a 49‑year‑old driver from Borlești failed to maintain safe distance and collided with a vehicle ahead; the driver tested negative for alcohol. Both women were hospitalized.

Investigations are ongoing for the Iclod accident, while a criminal case has been opened for the intoxicated driver near Roman.
