Romanian schools host autumn festivals and charity events

Educational institutions in Romania held seasonal celebrations focused on creativity, tradition, and community support.

At the Prof. Paul Bănică Gymnasium School, the 12th edition of the 'Tezaurul Toamnei' (Autumn Treasure) inter-county project brought together approximately 500 participants from various regions, including Dâmbovița, Alba, Cluj, Vaslui, and Bucharest. The event featured thematic stands and artistic performances, with donations collected through the National Strategy for Community Actions (SNAC) intended for people in need. Master Ion Tănase also participated by teaching students traditional folk dance steps.

In Lugoj, the Anișoara Odeanu Gymnasium School organized 'Simfonia roadelor la Odeanu' (Symphony of Harvests at Odeanu) as part of the 'Școala altfel' national program. Despite rainy weather, the event moved to the school's sports hall, where students, teachers, and parents displayed seasonal fruits, vegetables, and decorations. The festival included a demonstration of traditional Romanian craftsmanship by Ciprian Mert, who showcased the making of 'opinci' (traditional leather footwear).
