Petrolul defender Mark Țuțu, a polyglot who speaks five languages including English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, recently proposed to his girlfriend in Edinburgh. The 22-year-old, who grew up in Canada, has seen his market value double to €750,000 since arriving in Romania. He currently serves as a translator for the Petrolul staff due to his linguistic skills.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Farul attacker Răzvan Marincean has made headlines after scoring his first top-flight goal against Petrolul. Marincean has spent five years in the Gică Hagi academy, living away from his family in Sighet since the age of 12. His father noted the significant personal sacrifice involved, as the teenager often travels 20 hours by train to visit home.
