Dinamo vs FCSB derby moved to Arcul de Triumf
The Dinamo vs FCSB derby, originally planned for Cluj Arena, will now take place at the Arcul de Triumf stadium on September 5. This decision follows opposition from Dinamo supporters who insisted the match remain in Bucharest. The shift is necessitated by the unavailability of the National Arena, a situation officials cite as a symptom of Romania’s infrastructure challenges.
Dinamo officials estimate that moving the match from the National Arena to Arcul de Triumf could result in financial losses of up to 300,000 euros per match. To mitigate these losses and support the club, Dinamo is implementing special ticket sales, including an ‘early-bird’ option and a Dutch auction system for certain sections. Additionally, supporters are launching a special edition jersey featuring the club’s historic 1948–1950 emblem to raise funds.
In preparation for the match, FCSB owner Gigi Becali has announced a tactical shift to a 3-4-3 formation to dominate the midfield. Meanwhile, the Romanian football landscape sees various other developments, including the elimination of Farul and Oțelul from the Romanian Cup and upcoming SuperLiga fixtures such as Petrolul vs Rapid Bucharest.
