Romanian tennis players advance to Prague Open round of 16

Three Romanian tennis players—Cezar Crețu, Filip Jianu, and Radu Papoe—have advanced to the round of 16 at the Prague Open challenger tournament. The event features a total prize pool of 97,640 euros.

Cezar Crețu, the seventh seed, defeated France's Thomas Faurel in three sets (2-6, 6-2, 6-4). Radu Papoe, who entered through the qualifiers, secured his spot by defeating Spain's Oriol Roca Batalla. Filip Jianu also progressed after a straight-sets victory over Slovakia's Andrej Martin.

In the men's doubles category, the Romanian-Ukrainian duo of Bogdan Pavel and Denis Molceanov reached the quarterfinals following a win against Nick Hardt and Cristian Rodriguez.
