Romanian towns schedule July pest‑control campaigns

The municipality of Slatina, Romania, will carry out a series of pest‑control operations in the second half of July 2026, including insecticide treatments on July 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29, larviciding from 08:00, and night‑time spatial spraying from 22:00. A deratization campaign is planned for July 21, 23, 28 and 30, and vegetation‑protection treatments will be applied on the evenings of July 30‑31. Residents are urged to keep clear of treatment zones and supervise children and pets.

In the nearby commune of Moșnița Nouă, local officials announced terrestrial disinfection activities between July 20 and 27 2026. Work will cover parks, playgrounds and other public areas on July 20, Moșnița Nouă on July 22‑23, Moșnița Veche on July 24‑27, and the villages of Urseni, Albina and Rudicica on July 27. The municipality asked citizens to avoid the sprayed zones and advised beekeepers to protect their hives. All chemicals used are authorized by the Ministry of Health.
