Two serious road accidents occurred in Romania within days of each other. In Ialomița County, a car drove onto an unprotected railway crossing on DJ 203F and collided with a personal train, killing two women instantly; two children aged five and seven were injured and taken to hospital.

In Vișeu de Jos, Maramureș County, a 52‑year‑old driver of a utility vehicle struck a six‑year‑old girl riding a bicycle, causing fatal injuries. The driver initially left the scene but later returned, tested negative for alcohol and drugs, and was taken for medical examination while police continue the investigation.
