Romanian universities launch new professional development and career initiatives
Major academic institutions in Romania are launching initiatives to bridge the gap between students and the professional labor market.
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) will host the “Ready for the Future” international conference on October 20, 2026. Organized under the “Liderii de Mâine” (Leaders of Tomorrow) aegis, the event features international experts in management, technology, and finance. Speakers include Tamara Stelting on artificial intelligence, Brooke Redd on management strategy, and Jim Cloud on logistics, aiming to provide students with practical perspectives on professional development and skill acquisition.
In Timișoara, the Timișoara University Alliance (ATU) is organizing the first “Timișoara Career Connect by ATU” on November 11, 2026. This event marks a national first by uniting four major universities—Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Politehnica University of Timișoara, West University of Timișoara, and King Michael I University of Life Sciences—into a single career fair. The initiative seeks to strengthen the partnership between the academic community and the economic sector by providing companies with access to a diverse student population.
