Romanian universities open autumn 2026 admission sessions
Universities in Romania are conducting their autumn 2026 admission sessions. The University of Bucharest (UB) has announced over 5,800 available places across its 20 faculties for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. For undergraduate studies, the university is offering 2,339 places, including 317 state-funded spots. Master's programs include 3,538 places, with 205 funded by the state budget. UB reported record-breaking numbers during its summer session, noting high competition for state-funded positions.
Meanwhile, the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești is in the final stages of its autumn undergraduate enrollment. Physical registrations at the university headquarters have concluded, and remaining candidates must apply exclusively through the electronic admission platform. The online window remains open until September 5, with a final brief period on September 6. The admission process includes elimination exams for specific specializations on September 7, followed by confirmation of places and document submission in early September.
