Romanian Volleyball Federation announces 2026-2027 season schedule

The Romanian Volleyball Federation has finalized the schedule for the 2026-2027 competitive season for both men and women. The women's championship is set to begin on October 10, while the men's championship will start on October 24.

The upcoming season in Divizia A1 will feature 12 teams and introduces a stricter relegation system where the bottom two teams will be directly relegated, and teams finishing in 9th and 10th place must compete in a promotion/relegation playoff against Divizia A2 winners. Notably, Știința Explorări Baia Mare will remain in the top tier, occupying the spot vacated by newly promoted CSU UVT Timișoara.

Local team SCM Zalău is scheduled to debut at home against Știința București, though their first official match will be the Romanian Supercup against Dinamo București on October 17, 2026.
