Romanian water utilities impose supply restrictions in Sărulești and Timișoara
The water distributor for Buzău County, Compania de Apă Buzău, said residents of the commune of Sărulești will face limited water deliveries for up to two years while a new 200‑cubic‑metre storage tank is approved. Currently the village relies on a 50‑m³ reservoir, with water supplied only at night, prompting complaints from elderly customers who pay in advance for the service.
In western Romania, Aquatim announced scheduled maintenance that will cause pressure drops and temporary shutdowns on several streets in Timișoara on 13‑14 July. The work includes pipe cleaning, a major connection at the intersection of Enric Baader and Aristide Demetriade, and repairs at the Recaș pumping station. Consumers are advised to avoid using water for household purposes until it clears, as tap water may appear turbid after the works.
