Romanian weightlifters win multiple gold medals at European Championships

Romanian weightlifters achieved significant success at the European U15 and U17 Championships held in Klokot, Kosovo. Alexia Șipoș and Maia Delia Andrei both secured three gold medals each.

In the U17 53 kg category, Alexia Șipoș set two new cadet European records in the snatch and total, winning gold with a total lift of 185 kg (84 kg snatch and 101 kg clean and jerk). In the U17 49 kg category, Maia Delia Andrei also won three gold medals, setting three new continental records with lifts of 73 kg in the snatch, 91 kg in the clean and jerk, and a 164 kg total.

Other notable performances include Andreea Lemnaru and Adelina Maria Lorinț, who each earned three silver medals, and Giulia Hrișcanu, who won three bronze medals. Romania's total medal count at the competition stands at 15, consisting of 6 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
