Romanian worker Nina Vasile dies in Italy while working in agriculture
Nina Vasile, a 51-year-old Romanian woman from Brăila, has died in the Bolzano province of Italy after falling ill while working in agriculture. The incident occurred on October 5, when Vasile was taken to the San Maurizio Provincial Hospital. Although she underwent surgery, her condition remained critical, and she passed away on October 9 after being disconnected from life support.
Vasile’s son, Petru, has raised concerns regarding the working conditions his mother faced, describing the agricultural labor as physically demanding and performed in high heat. He also noted inadequate clothing and poor living conditions at her residence.
While a direct link between the working environment and her medical condition has not yet been established, the Carabinieri are investigating the circumstances of her death and checking for any potential labor regulation violations. The family has not yet filed an official complaint.
