Romanian–German University Partnership Renewed in Arad
The University of West “Vasile Goldiș” in Arad hosted the rector of the University of Applied Sciences for Forestry in Rottenburg, Germany, Prof. Dr. Bastian Kaiser. During the visit the two institutions formally renewed a cooperation agreement that has been in place for more than 25 years.
Both universities announced new joint initiatives, including shared forestry courses, collaborative research on forest management and mechanised logging, and expanded student‑exchange programmes. A round‑table with German industry representatives highlighted best practices for linking academic work with the private sector. The partnership aims to strengthen international mobility for Arad students and foster practical research projects in forestry.
The renewal underscores the longstanding academic ties between Romania and Germany and the universities’ commitment to broaden educational and research opportunities in the forestry sector.
