Romanians increasingly use AI and TikTok for financial advice

A study by Cult Market Research reveals that nearly 20% of Romanians use artificial intelligence to obtain financial and economic advice, while 14% rely on TikTok for similar information.

Experts warn that AI-generated responses are often too general and may not account for an individual's specific financial circumstances. Financial consultant Alexandru Chirilă advises users to verify AI outputs by requesting data sources, methodologies, and specific links to ensure accuracy before making decisions regarding loans, savings, or other financial products.

Despite the rise of digital tools, television remains the primary source of financial information for 46% of respondents. Other sources include discussions with banks or financial institutions (33%) and official institutional websites (28%). Only 13% of those surveyed utilize formal financial education courses.
