Romania's Finance Ministry lists June Fidelis bonds on Bucharest Stock Exchange
The Romanian Ministry of Finance listed the June edition of its Fidelis state‑bond program on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The eight issuances entered trading today after a subscription window from 15‑22 June, attracting a total of about 940 million lei (roughly 500 million lei in euro equivalents) from individual investors.
The two‑year lei tranche was the most popular, receiving 256.9 million lei in subscriptions, while a tranche for blood donors also saw strong demand. Overall, the program has raised more than 71 billion lei since its launch in 2020, and interest and capital gains from the bonds are tax‑free for eligible residents and non‑residents over 18.
The offering was coordinated by a consortium of Romanian banks—including BT Capital Partners, BCR, BRD‑SocGen, TradeVille and UniCredit Bank—with distribution by Banca Transilvania, Salt Bank and Libra Internet Bank.
