Romania's Finance Ministry updates profit‑tax registry and publishes compliant taxpayer list
Romania's Ministry of Finance issued a new order that modernises the Registry of Fiscal Evidence used by profit‑taxpaying companies. The updated model can be kept on paper or electronically, and it streamlines the recording of information that determines taxable profit. The change, announced by Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare, aims to reduce bureaucracy, lower administrative costs and align the registry with current business practices.
The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) will also publish a quarterly “white list” of legal entities that have filed all required returns, paid taxes on time and have no outstanding fiscal obligations. The list for the second quarter of 2026 is to be released by the end of July, following the 2022 ordinance that mandates its publication. Eligibility requires complete filing of all declarations within the statutory period, timely payment of primary and ancillary taxes, and no budgetary arrears at the time of compilation.
