Romanic Musicau celebrates Gaudí and Vallverdú with concerts in Aran

The 27th edition of Romanic Musicau will take place in the Val d'Aran on 13 and 22 August, using the Romanesque churches of Sant Andrèu de Salardú and Santa Maria d’Arties as venues. Both days are free to the public and combine guided tours with musical performances.

The 13 August concert honors architect Antoni Gaudí, coinciding with the centenary of his death, with historian Mónica Rodríguez drawing parallels between Romanesque architecture and Gaudí’s work. The 22 August event commemorates writer Josep Vallverdú, recently deceased, featuring a talk on the Occitan language by Josep Lois Sans Socasau. Performances are provided by Quartet Immortality (or Quartet Inmortality) and the Lleida‑based group Pixie Dixie, with a cava toast concluding each concert.
