Rome and Certaldo implement special transport plans for All Souls' Day
Authorities in Rome and Certaldo have announced special transportation and traffic management plans to accommodate the increased influx of visitors for the commemoration of the deceased on November 2.
In Rome, a special bus service plan is in effect until November 2. The Flaminio Cemetery will see significant service increases, with the C1 line nearly doubling its daily trips from 38 to 74 between October 21 and November 2. A new temporary shuttle service, the C3L, will connect Piazza Mancini to the Flaminio Cemetery. Other cemeteries, including Laurentino and San Vittorino, will also benefit from increased bus frequencies and weekday service extensions on various lines.
In Certaldo, temporary traffic and parking restrictions will be implemented near the municipal cemetery on via Beata Giulia and the Misericordia cemetery on via Fiorentina. From October 29 to November 2, one-way traffic systems and parking bans will be enforced in specific areas to ensure pedestrian safety and manage vehicle flow. Certain streets will be restricted to authorized vehicles and those transporting persons with disabilities during peak hours.
