Rome approves 26 business network programs to boost local commerce

The Rome City Council has approved 26 programs presented by business networks aimed at enhancing local commerce and strengthening neighborhood economies. Presented by Valeria Baglio, the Councilor for Productive Activities, the initiative focuses on urban redevelopment and innovation across various districts, including Centocelle, Pigneto, Ostia, and Monteverde.

The projects seek a total of approximately 2.6 million euros in regional contributions from Lazio, with individual projects eligible for up to 100,000 euros. The programs include initiatives for newsstands and bookstores, recognizing their role as cultural and social hubs. The goal is to improve the attractiveness of urban spaces and foster collaboration between businesses, institutions, and local communities.
