Rome authorities respond to two separate incidents of distress

Two separate incidents involving individuals in distress have been reported in the Rome area.

In Centocelle Park, Carabinieri officers successfully intervened to save a 30-year-old man who was attempting suicide. After receiving an alarm from the man's mother regarding threatening farewell messages, authorities located him in dense vegetation. Following a 25-minute negotiation by an officer, the man was convinced to step down from a chair. He was treated by medical personnel and transported to San Giovanni Hospital.

In Castel Gandolfo, a 43-year-old man was found dead on the threshold of his family home. His parents had alerted emergency services after being unable to reach him by phone. Although Carabinieri and medical staff arrived promptly, they were unable to resuscitate him. Preliminary investigations suggest the death may have been voluntary, noting the man had been suffering from health issues for several months. The body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine at Tor Vergata for examination.
