Rome Capitale Assembly approves A. Co. S. program plan
The Rome Capitale Assembly has approved the 2026-2028 program plan and the service contract for A. Co. S., the special agency responsible for controlling and ensuring the quality of Rome's public and instrumental services.
According to Assembly President Svetlana Celli, the transition from the previous agency to the newly established A. Co. S. provides the entity with its own legal personality and full financial, managerial, technical, and operational autonomy. This restructuring is intended to strengthen the agency's independence from Rome Capitale and enhance the monitoring of local public services managed by the city, its subsidiaries, or third parties.
The new service contract outlines specific activities, including the monitoring of complaints, service contract execution, and territorial mapping of services via a GIS platform. A quarterly updated online cartographic platform will be made available to the public to show the geographic distribution of services, including public greenery and sports facilities.
